Funerals

Picture
It is my honour and privilege to be a Celebrant leading a Celebration of Life and Funeral. This is the absolute last thing that any of us can do for someone when their life has ended and it aids so much to the grieving process.
Whether it be a funeral, memorial service or scattering   of ashes, I will create a ceremony of love and  remembrance to honour your loved one.

Funeral Options

There are many options for your loved one's funeral service and in every situation I meet with the family and those immediately closest to the departed. This meeting can take place at the Funeral Home or the home of the family or friend who is the key contact.

I will listen to your memories and the Ceremony you would like for your loved one, sharing ideas and guiding you in the ceremony planning.  I will then create a ceremony based on our discussions and give you the opportunity to review it before the service if you so choose. This may include music, readings, tributes and any rituals appropriate for this time eg the scattering of petals, tribute of reflection, lighting of candles.

Funeral Home

I will work collaboratively with your chosen Funeral Home and their Funeral Director. It is usually incorporated in the Funeral Home offering to offer the services of a Celebrant. I would be honoured if you were to specifically request me as your Celebrant, regardless of the Funeral Home you have chosen.

Location

There are so many venues for the service to take place - Chapel, Church, Graveside, Crematorium, special place or Home – wherever you choose to farewell your loved one. In some instances a service may transition across two venues or locations e.g. Chapel to crematorium or Chapel to graveside. You may also like a tribute and closure at the final resting place.

Later Events

The scattering of ashes, Memorial and unveiling are other poignant times to remember and celebrate the life of your loved one. These ceremonies can take the healing process to a higher level as usually more time has passed. With time we work through our grief and we can become more comfortable speaking our thoughts. Ceremonies after some time has passed provide another opportunity to celebrate life’s journey and perhaps say what you were too distraught to say at the immediate time of loss. This is an opportunity to make this your own special service of remembrance.

I can prepare a ceremony for you to deliver yourself or create
and deliver something very special for this final tribute.

I am committed to no more than one Ceremony, Celebration

or Service of any nature in any given day.
On your day my commitment is totally to you.
